The all new Ford Mondeo is here and ready to order at a local UK dealership near you, prices will start from £20k and will be made available in both saloon and estate versions. Expect to pay around a £1k premium for the estate version Ford have not only reworked the exterior design, the front does feature Aston Martin inspired design language cues, the new Mondeo also comes with a line of more diverse and efficient engines including a hybrid electric powerplant. The Mondeo’s suspension architecture and steering system have been uprated, Fords integral link rear suspension will be housed on the company’s global CD-segment platform, meaning the car could spawn many different form factors to cater for different sales territories. From launch an all new 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine will be available which will sit alongside the bread and butter 1.6 and 2.0-litre diesel engines. Ford’s award winning 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engine, the International Engine of the year three times in a row, will also be available by early 2015. Assembled at Ford’s manufacturing plant in Valencia, Spain the new Mondeo is set to be a more upmarket effort and will feature a host of driver safety tech such as  Ford’s Pedestrian Detection and adaptive LED headlights. Active Park Assist with Perpendicular Parking, and Active City Stop are other technologies that will be made available as optional extra’s. The new Ford Mondeo is available to order in the UK now.
