Take a look at this roadster from a small and newly established Italian coach builder you’ve never heard of until now. Its called the Puritalia 427 and its made by, yuuup, Puritalia Automobili from Naples.

Puritalia is a traditional coach builder that makes limited series sports cars as they put it “cars designed for the purist drivers and car enthusiasts.” Or in other words wealthy clients. This is how cars used to be made from the beginning, before the age of mass production, consumerism and World War I.

The company’s moto is “if you can dream it we can build it”. The 427 takes its external design from roadsters of the 1960s. Puritalia’s roadster is designed to offer comfort and the best driving experience in one stunning looking package. A tough call for any car maker.

The Pureitalia 427 is around the same size as a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) and is powered by a not so Italian Ford Coyote V8, but at least it delivers a good old fashioned 455bhp to boot. If that’s too slow for you then a supercharged version is available which pumps out a bad boy power rating of 605bhp. This, say Puritalia, is an Italian-American muscle car.

Anything made by hand is expensive and the 427 is expected to cost a whopping £200k when it goes on sale next year. Only 427 will be made hence the 427 moniker. Reportedly a hybrid version is on the cards and most likely collectors from the U.S. and Middle East will be getting their old fashioned cheque books out and placing an order. By the internet.
