One is an Aston Martin V8 Vantage the other is not. The “other” in question is the Bentley EXP 10 Speed Concept a design study into the Bentley Continental GT of the future. What both have in common is that they are ultra luxury performance cars. And the two also look pretty much damn similar. Its not Aston’s fault and I pity the fool who would point the finger at Gaydon’s finest, no the trouble maker, the rabble rouser in the room is the Bentley concept. Clearly the EXP 10 Speed Concept, (why such a long winded name?) is based on the Continental GT, from the front its unmistakably a Bentley, however from the the profile it looks like a god damn Aston Martin. Clarkson and co, from the now defunct Top Gear show pointed this out however we were going to run the story first, before Jeremy “Muhammad” Clarkson mentioned the similarities between the two on a previous episode. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced to the world in 2005, it still looks as good now as it did back then, that’s because its perfect. It still uses the same relatively unchanged 4.7-litre V8 engine, that’s because its perfect. The interior too is unchanged… that’s because its god damn perfection. But this is all about a style issue and you have to say, considering the V8 Vantage has been around for the past 10 years…that’s because its perfect… what on earth were the pencil powers at Bentley thinking when they styled the EXP Concept? Where did they draw inspiration from? Certainly not from the well of souls. Didn’t anybody at Bentley consider that their vision of the future was more like a Christmas past? It seems like there is a bit of collective denial going on here. Nevertheless on their own these two vehicle designs are utter perfection but together the Aston wins on the style stakes… that’s because its perfect.  Bentley-vsAston-Martin-V8-Vantage
