McLaren Bring New Look & New Hope For Spanish GP
Formula One
McLaren head into the start of the European campaign of the Formula One season with a new lick of paint. The silver arrow inspired chrome look is out and in its place is a “dynamic and predatory” livery say McLaren. There is a reason why McLaren have revised the livery of the MP4-30, the previous shinny chrome design was causing bright reflections in the sunlight. McLaren-MP4-30-Front A McLaren spokesman said: “We have revised our car’s livery, improving its visual impact, optimising it for not only bright sunshine but also for the floodlights increasingly used in twilight and night races”. McLaren are not just focusing on a nice new look ahead of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix. After a faltering start to their F1 campaign the team is bringing a series of updates in a bid to improve results. McLaren-MP4-30-Profile Eric Boullier – Racing director of McLaren-Honda said “During the three-week break between Bahrain and Spain, we’ve been working very productively on every front to bring improvements to the car. We know that one fix or upgrade won’t provide a significant upturn in performance, so we’re united in our continued efforts to bring further gains to both chassis and power unit, in terms of both reliability and outright performance, step by step”. McLaren hope the Spanish Grand Prix will be an incremental step forward, Fernando Alonso has previously stated the Spanish Grand Prix will be a new starting point for the team and that he expects to be challenging for points.  McLaren-MP4-30-Pose
