Not just content with helping to break the World Land Speed Record, the Jaguar Land Rover marketing team are turning their attentions to the 35th America’s Cup. If you are involved in sailing then you will know all about this 164 year old yacht competition traditionally held between the English and Americans.
If you don’t know what all the fuss is about then simply put the Americans won the Cup in a race against the British around the Isle of Wight in 1851. England have been trying to win it back ever since.
Yes the British are a useless sea faring nation these days but Land Rover’s marketing division doesn’t think so and will be sponsoring our very own Sir Ben Ainsle, the most successful sailor in Olympic history.
