Meet The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso
Auto News
This is the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. It may look like the Ferrari FF but the Ferrari marketing and product managers want you to believe in the legend and forget about any references to the FF. From now its full on GTC4 Lusso. So what’s with the new name? You may think 4-wheel drive which is what the FF was all about. In actuality the GTC4 bit references classic 4-seat Ferraris from a by-gone era. Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso- Like a Hollywood is regurgitating movie franchise after movie franchise so to does the car industry and Ferrari has plenty of history for the marketing teams to make use of. Apparently the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso was Enzo Ferrari’s personal favorite. Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso-Interior-Dash The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso (nee FF) is in reality a so called face-lift, a few exterior design revisions to the headlights, rear tail-lights and a wider front grille which now integrates air intakes to aid engine cooling. Should you choose to go for a GTC4 Lusso (nee FF) then you also get a rear diffuser and a roof mounted spoiler to aid aerodynamics. Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso-Interior The GTC4 Lusso (nee FF) is something of an old fashioned Ferrari. As the trend for turbo charging engines has become the norm the Lusso’s (nee FF’s) 6.3-litre V12 engine remains normally aspirated but does come with a bump in power. So if you want to sprint from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and max it out to a top speed of 208mph then you can thank the lord and say hallelujah brother for 681bhp and 697Nm of torque within. Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso-Rear But the real trick in the GTC4 Lusso’s (nee FF) armoury is the  integration rear-wheel steering with four-wheel drive for the first time. The Lusso’s Electronic differential (E-Diff) and the SCM-E dampers are all seamless programed so you don’t have to worry about anything other than heading down to Monaco with your best pal  in toe , most probably Smee150 – Living The Supercar Dream YouTube guy. Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso-Profile The interior now gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen display in addition to secondary digital readout for the passenger side of the cockpit which displays engine performance metrics. The official world premiere of the GTC4 Lusso will be at the Geneva International Motor Show in March. Price will be expensive and availability of the shootingbrake style coupe will be exclusive.  Ferrari-GTC4-Lusso-Front-Profile
