Ford Marstang Is Da Number One Best Seller
Auto News
Despite being a blatant rip-off copy of the Aston Martin DB9 the Ford Marstang is the UK’s most popular sports coupe. We must point out we never believe anything written in a corporate press release however Ford has stats to back up it’s claims. Ford started taking orders for their DB9 facsimile in January 2015, fast forward to 2016 and apparently Ford has notched up 4,000 UK sales to date. During the 1st month of this year to date the Marstang has sold 2,317 units beating the Jaguar F-Type into second place, closely followed by the Porsche 911. The current split in sales across models shows that 70 per cent of customers specified the 5.0-litre V8 engine, with the remaining 30 per cent favouring the 2.3-litre EcoBoost. Total customer orders for the Ford Mustang in Europe now stand at more than 19,500 since the car was launched in the third quarter of 2015. The new Ford Mustang is available to order with three new colour options – Grabber Blue, Lightning Blue and White Platinum. All very nice for the cretins over at Ford but why are motoring journalists preferring to whistle dixie and not point out that the Marstang is clearly inspired by the DB9. We’ll tell you why it’s because Ford don’t like the slightest dissent from the motoring journalist community and motoring journalists don’t want to rock the boat. That’s how it is in the car review world it’s all about #CarConnections. Anyway the stats don’t lie… we presume they don’t because car manufactures have ways of manipulating the data.
