Mclaren 675LT Vs Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Two Tribes Go To War
Video
So you just so happen to be wealthy enough to afford a McLaren 675LT and your equally rich buddy has enough cash to splash to afford a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Fortunately these two supercar owners avoid Cars & Coffee meets and instead actually prefer to experience what their respective cars can muster. And what better way than to head on over to Germany’s Nurburgring and pit one against the other. The McLaren, on paper, has the stats and fire power to soundly beat the Porsche. With 675PS and 700Nm of torque the 675LT has a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph courtesy of it’s 3.8-litre Twin-Turbo V8. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a little slower and has less power 500 PS (493bhp) and 400Nm of Torque. The 0-62mph is 3.3 seconds and the top speed is 196mph from it’s flat-six engine. So the McLaren has more power, is also lighter and therefore has this head-to-head in the bag right? Usually we punctuate this leading question with “wrong” but in the case in of this head to head it’s clear to see that the McLaren ‘owns’ the Porsche. The GT3 RS appears to have the better traction into and out of the corners but it appears as if the McLaren is merely following without even trying… Or is it?  McLaren-675LT-vs-911-GT3-RS
