David Lee, a successful retailer of luxury goods, has been so successful he is able to buy what is perhaps the ultimate Ferrari Collection. The roll-call of what is today refered to as hypercars reads 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO, 1990 F40, 1995 F50, 2003 Enzo and 2014 LaFerrari.
OK so this YouTube clip is a shameless plug of Jay Leno’s Garage, which you can watch on Wednesday November 9 at 10pm ET/PT on CNBC, however this is not just any old shameless plug.
Well actually it is a shameless plug.
What these Ferrari supercars/hypercars represent a rolling history that can be driven and seen and not just another installation in a dreary car museum.
I mean car Museums are boring, like car shows, in which you walk around look at cars and collect promotional leaflets in a hall full of other boring people.
Anyway, our choice of Ferrari supercar/hypercar would no doubt be the 288 GTO, this was the forerunner to the F40 and every supercar Ferrari have made since can be traced back to the 288 GTO.
