Not content with releasing five design editions for the 570S, McLaren have inched another step forward into diversifying point of entry ownership. All hail the McLaren 570S with Track Pack. Well it isn’t all new model or variant it’s more of an optional offering, weight saving measures to be more precise and of course you are expected to pay for it. The Track Pack will cost an extra £16,500. That’s a lot of money for something you will never see but you may well be able to experience the difference. The Track Pack optional extra is derived from McLaren’s racing success in GT3 and GT4 categories. The Track Pack for the McLaren 570S now includes a 12mm higher rear wing that boosts downforce by an additional 29kg at 150mph, enhancing stability in the fastest of corners. This is not available on any other McLaren Sports Series derivative. Track Pack visual clues include a McLaren Special Operations roof finish in Dark Palladium, and stealth-finish Sports exhaust. With the Track Pack the 570s weighs 25kg less than the coupé in standard form due to the use of Alcantara® over leather for the seats, dashboard and steering wheel covering. The introduction of carbon-fibre racing seats with circuit-proven lateral location and lightweight alloy wheels also account for the reduction in weight. These weight saving measures make the 570S with Track Pack ever so slightly faster, but for McLaren going a few tenths faster is what the company is all about. McLaren reckon new 570S owners who opt for the Track Pack are likely to spend more time on circuits. Very kindly have shoe-horned in the the 570S their proprietary Track Telemetry system, as also used on the McLaren 675LT and McLaren P1. The system provides real-time information, such as lap times, sector splits and comparisons between drivers, delta lap times well as post-drive analysis and graphical data-logging. Track Pack is available to order now with deliveries beginning in early 2017.
