Shamed about this lack of class, Mercedes have decided to up the inter-continental class war by essentially re-branding the Mercedes S Class Cabriolet. Specail edition to you or I. Maybach once a stand alone entity within Mercedes has now trans-morphed into the ultra luxury division of Mercedes and from what we can work out the title only extends to the S Class. The usual suspect is still there a 6.0-litre V12 which churns out 621bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This power is fed to the rear wheels allowing for a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph. Nevertheless the plutocrat’s wife will be the main target audience and therefore you probably will only ever see this car in St Tropez or a slum in a despotically ruled Banana Republic.
