Subaru To Reveal Second Generation XV Industrial Design Language
Auto News
We’ve always like the Subaru XV industrial design language, notice we said industrial design. Industrial design is kind of like a raw design statement, get it wrong and it backfires however Subaru have got their design language just right and it gives their products a distinctive edge. It’s a kind of restrained flair that we like. The Land Rover Defender had a similar quality. The XV SUV is one such model that exhibits Subaru’s modern industrial design language and it will be upgraded at the Geneva Motorshow on March 7, 2017. We’re told it’s new design statement will reveal the second generation XV but it could well end up being a series of styling interior and exterior upgrades masquerading as a second generation XV. Don’t expect significant engineering upgrades, do expect the trim and interior to get more options and technology. The engine range for the UK market will remain the same. However the teaser photo shows Chris Bangle inspired flame surfacing details, so it could be second gen stuff, by and large the XV’s chassis remains the same.  Subaru-XV-Geneva-2017
