An Open Letter To Sir Jackie Stewart: Shut The Hell Up!
Formula One

Sir Jackie Stewart has accused Lewis Hamilton of “provoking” Sebastian Vettel during their infamous clash in Baku when the race was placed under one of the many safety car periods. During an interview with motorsport.com, where he was fawned over and never challenged, Stewart again accused Hamilton of deliberately slowing and even “brushing” the brakes to force Vettel into making contact presumably in the hope Vettel’s Ferrari would sustain damage.

We here at DCB Towers have to be impartial when it comes to reporting on things F1, we favor no one however Sir Jackie Stewart’s interpretation of the events in Baku means now there are no rules.

Stewart has accepted Vettel’s subsequent reaction, by side-swiping into Hamilton’s Mercedes, was completely wrong.

Stewart, a three times F1 champion, conveniently ignored data analyzed by the FIA that entirely exonerated Hamilton of any blame.

Stewart also forgot to mention that the driver who is following should take responsibility for maintaining a gap, not too close and too far away to lose out on the re-start.

Apportioning blame onto Hamilton is crazy, what the hell is Stewart on, what the hell is he talking about?

Stewart like the rest of the F1 media has largely brushed aside Vettel’s track-rage, probably because it makes for good TV and boosts ratings.

Sir Jackie Stewart was the top F1 driver of his era no doubt so he has a right to express his views. His campaign on improving safety in F1 and motorsport is exceptional, his contribution immense.

But he is being a complete jackass by seemingly spitting in Lewis Hamilton’s face at every given opportunity and this latest spitting episode really irritated us all here at DCB Towers.

We’re not Hamilton fanboys and we will criticise him or any other driver if the situation calls for it. Hamilton was not to blame for Baku, even if he was playing mind games then it’s simply competition.

What Sir Jackass Stewart is implying is that it is wrong to use your car as a weapon but it’s also correct because if you are provoked you have a right to respond if your opponent is not of pure anglo-saxon extraction.

What was the point in campaigning for safety in F1 Sir Jackass Stewart? This clash between Hamilton and Vettel was not safe and was triggered by the unstable mind of Vettel.

If Vettel isn’t punished or this incident is brushed under the carpet then it’s a free ride for Vettel to do the same again in full knowledge he will get away with it.

So Sir Jackass Stewart, be more consistent with the values you have been preaching all your life, get a life and call out Vettel for the dangerous driving he committed instead of acting like a jackass and placing the blame, some of it, onto Hamilton’s shoulders.

Sir Jackass Stewart keep your closet racism locked up in a closet, get in the closet, lock the closet, throw away possibly swallow the key and shut the hell up.

Peace.
