Lotus has always been known for the maxim of lighter, faster…. nothing in between however the 1,250kg dry weight isn’t exactly light by Lotus standards.
Grip is provided by 10 mm wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, with 245/35 R19 at the front and 295/30 R20 at the rear, on one inch wider 10.5J rear wheels.
Ultra-lightweight forged aluminium wheels are standard, in either black or silver, with optional finishes available in gloss red or a gloss black machined rim design.
As now standard with modern day performance cars, the GT430 also includes driving mode settings Drive, Sport, Race in addition to a new variable traction control setting.
The ECU can modulate the amount of wheel slip and the traction control can be set by the driver ranging from 1% to 12%.
Stopping power comes via a two-piece J-grooved and ventilated brake discs at the front and AP Racing four-piston calipers all round, the rear uses three-piece discs with lightweight aluminum centres saving 2 kg.
The interior is trimmed in leather/Alcantara, mostly Alcantara, with carbon back Sparco bucket seats. Available to order now the Evora GT430 will be available for North American markets in Spring 2018.
