- Wipe or dust off your shoes before stepping into your car. Your car’s carpets can be home to a buildup of mess from your footwear. Removing excess dirt from your footwear helps you lessen the amount of dirt that gets in your car.
- To get rid of dust, dirt, and strands of hair, give your foot mat a shake and a vacuum every once in awhile. Doing this can decrease odor and helps keep your car tidy.
- Use microfiber car towels to wipe down your dashboard, steering wheel and other surfaces inside the car.
- Keep a small rubbish container in the front seat to store away trash in a convenient, easy to remove place.
- Visit a professional cleaner to get rid of stubborn stains from spillage. You can also use soap or a cleaning solution to help brush off dirt.
- Use a trigger-operated hose to minimize the amount of water that is consumed when cleaning the car. Before you begin cleaning your car, hose it down to make the process easier.
- Using a soft sponge or a microfiber towel, clean your car with a mixture of water and cleaning products.
- Your wheels and tires need cleaning too. Wash down your wheels and tires as you clean the car’s body. This is also a good opportunity to check for signs of punctures as your car’s wheel’s and tires are the most prone to damages due to wear and tear.
- After cleaning, rinse your car thoroughly to remove excess soap and cleaning products.
- Feel free to do a once over before the final rinse to make sure that you did not miss any spots.
- Use a microfiber towel to dry your car. This picks up as much water a possible. Like you did with the rinse, do a detailed drying to make sure you get all the spots that you may have missed during the initial drying.
- Spray surfaces down with the car glass cleaning solution of your choice. Cleaning your windscreen and windows properly is important to ensure sharp visibility.
- Avoid products with ingredients such as detergents, alcohol, and ammonia, as these chemicals cause streaks in the glass.
- The right type of towel is as important as the cleaner that you are using. Wash and dry with lint free microfiber car towels. Unlike old shirts and newspapers, microfiber car towels do not leave lint or any type of debris behind.
- Make sure to pay as much attention to the inside of your windows and windshield as you would on the outside. Having squeaky clean windows all around is very important for driving safety.
