Ken Okuyama Just Lamborghini-ed An Aventador
Auto News
So, hold it, who is Ken Okuyama? A renowned Japanese industrial designer who worked a legendary auto Italian design studio, Pininfarina, and who also designed the Porsche 996. Yes, the one with the fried egg-shaped headlights. Ken also supervised the design of the Ferrari Enzo and has also had a spell at General Motors. The master designer currently lives in Italy and speaks the language fluently in addition to English. Ken now runs his own design studio and coachbuilding facility and pens one-off limited edition models and the Aventador based Kode 0 is the latest creation to be built. The Kode 0 harks back to the wedge-like shape of the Lamborghini Countach. Despite being made from carbon fibre the Kode 0 weighs in at over 1,500kg but is actually lighter the Aventador. Naturally, the Kode 0 uses the exact same running gear as the Aventador, same 7-speed transmission, v12, same 685bhp and 690Nm of torque and same 0-62mp time of 2.9 seconds. The Kode 0 was unveiled over the weekend at the 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. As of yet, the price remains unknown. However, a designer of Ken’s stature (he did design the Ferrari Enzo remember) means that all Ken has do is name the price and a rich collector will snap it up in an instance.  Kode-0-Ken-Okuyama-Says-Dailycarblog-Is-Awesome
