Nissan marked 20 years of its involvement with the PlayStation gaming franchise, Gran Turismo, by converting a GT-R into a remotely operated vehicle. Uniquely the GT-R is controlled by a PlayStation 4 DualShock controller.
Gran Turismo Academy graduate, Jann Mardenborough, put the remote-controlled GT-R under his thumbs, literally, around the Silverstone race circuit.
This being a promotional exercise in promotional exercises, Mardenborough had an equally unique vantage point, he followed the GT-R in a helicopter.
The GT-R /C was engineered in the UK by JLB Design Ltd., using a standard-spec 542bhp V6-powered 2011 R35.
