The interior ambient lighting package features a choice of 64 colors and the sound system is boosted with a nine-speaker setup with an output of 225W.
Mercedes’ Dynamic Body Control variable damping suspension is optional, also included, in the system is an adjustable in three stages and Sports Direct-Steer system or Air Body Control suspension.
The C Class will be offered with two new petrol engines which now use a 48V electrical system designed to work as a mild hybrid. The 184bhp, C200 offers a lower 1.5-litre engine displacement. A 2.0-litre version will follow at a later date.
The C220 d, also has a lower engine displacement and as a result of less weight is 16-percent more efficient than the engine it replaces. The 2.0-litre turbodiesel unit churns out 194bhp.
Mercedes have also mildly upgraded the AMG versions of the C CLass coupe and cabriolet, the C43. The 390hp V6 C43 4Matic sprints from 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds. The V8 powered C63 will join the revised lineup at a later point.
The new C Class coupe and cabriolet will begin retail sales from June 2018, entry-level cars are expected to start from £32k. The AMG versions will start from £62k.
