Thanks, Supercar Blondie you really have nailed what we here at DCB HQ really think of the BMW. And no we won’t ladle on the usual BMW is premium luxury rubbish bile, we’ll skip on that for today. To us, BMW is and always will be invisible.  Anyway if you want to do car stuff on the interweb don’t start a car blog, start a YouTube channel. That way you are almost certainly granted access, so long as you get good viewing figures.

Supercar Blondie is given exclusive access to BMWs’ show stand at the 2019 Frankfurt Motorshow. The Aussie begins preview first with the unfortunately named BMW protection Series. In non-lunatic speak, that’s an armored X5.

Supercar Blondie shows a bullet shot display door. And that got us thinking. Where do you have to be in life if you require a heavily armored vehicle that can deflect AK47 bullets? And that got our critical thinking skills stretched to breaking point.

Our collective conclusion came to one answer, you have to be a drugs baron to want to buy an armored X5. These cars are not for war zones and are probably not Taliban or Isis proof. Such cars are for the western high street where gun crime eclipses that of troubled hotspots and war-zones.
