Vauxhall Insignia Gains Styling And Technology Upgrades
Auto News

The Vauxhall Insignia has reached the point in it’s current/planned product lifecycle where it’s time to phase in styling updates and technology upgrades. In the automotive industry, these updates are designed to extend the sales lifecycle and hopefully increase sales. So what does the Insgina gain? For the exterior new front and rear bumpers, radiator grille and new LED headlights.

A modern-day car has a typical lifespan of between 5-8 years. During this timespan, technology changes very fast so it makes sense to factor in any upgrades, seen or unseen. As for the interior not much has changed in terms of interior trim upgrades.

However, the navigation system graphics has received a design update and wireless charging is available. The Insignia also gets a new rear-view camera that improves rearward vision. Driver assistance technology includes adaptive cruise control.

Vauxhall says the 2020 Insignia will receive a range of new engines but hasn’t confirmed the details. It is easy to speculate the engines will be sourced from parent company, Peugeot, and should include hybrid powertrains.

The 2020 spec Insignia will be available for sale in early January with first deliveries expected in May.
