YouTuber Kyle Engineers was a former F1 aerodynamicist for Mercedes. He left the sport to set up an aerodynamics consultancy that has clients across the world. So when Kyle speaks we listen. Kyle is slightly irritated by the numerous explanations across all media who have had a go at explaining the theory behind porpoising. The YouTuber feels the vast majority of explanations are oversimplified or just plain wrong.

Porpoising is a very complex subject to break down. The former F1 aerodynamicist goes into full engineer’s speak which overcomplicates the issue if you are not invested in that particular mindset.
