However, with Maserati relying on Pandemic Peugeot for electric powertrains, the Gran Cabrio Folgore already seems cursed. The touted 751 bhp means nothing when the Gran Cabrio struggles to cover 200 miles on a full charge.
Why shell out £185,000 for the Folgore when you can purchase a pre-owned Gran Cabrio and convert it to electric power for less? Maserati can keep their Folgore; I’d rather invest £86K in an entry-level Porsche Taycan—a true electric car engineered from the ground up to be an… electric car.
In short, steer clear of the Maserati Gran Cabrio Folgore; it’s a technical debacle masquerading behind heritage and brand allure.
