Oh dear, what have we done? The headline has a spelling error—we accidentally called the facelifted Golf GTI the “Golf GIT.” For those unfamiliar, in UK urban slang, “git” means a dim-witted idiot. So, what do we do now? Sure, we could fix it, but it’s too late. We might as well embrace our little slip-up and just own this unintentional roast.
Anyway, the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been around for nearly 50 years, and, like clockwork, each new generation gets a facelift and becomes incrementally better than the last.
At this rate, the Golf GTI will eventually evolve into a protoplasmic cloud of pure energy, zipping through the cosmos for all eternity.
