Modern Family: The New Audi Q6 Sportback e-Tron
Auto News

Audi will unveil the Q6 Sportback e-tron electric vehicle to the global public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2024. This new model features an aerodynamic body design that provides a remarkable range of up to 402 miles on a single charge. Buyers can choose between two battery options: a robust 100 kWh battery or a more compact 83 kWh battery. In the UK, pricing for the Q6 Sportback e-tron starts at £62,475 (MDP), which includes a £2,500 premium over the Q6 SUV e-tron.

The specification lineup mirrors that of the Q6 SUV e-tron, offering three trims: Sport, S line, and Edition 1. Sales in the UK will begin on November 21, with the first customer deliveries anticipated in April 2025.

Audi Q6 E-tron Sportback - Interior

The Audi SQ6 Sportback e-tron is equipped with a 100 kWh battery (94.9 kWh net) and features all-wheel drive, delivering a powerful system output of 490 PS, which increases to 517 PS with launch control. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds in launch control mode, and boasts a maximum range of 367 miles (combined power consumption: 17.9–17.6 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km).

Notable features include state-of-the-art OLED exterior lighting technology and Audi’s digital stage, an advanced array of infotainment monitors.

Audi Q6 E-tron Sportback - Rear

The top-spec Audi SQ6 Sportback e-tron starts from £95,000 and offers an unverified range of 367 miles. Audi states that entry-level models equipped with an 83 kWh battery are capable of achieving a range of 334 miles.

However, claims about EV range made by car manufacturers should be approached with a healthy degree of skepticism, as current electric vehicle powertrain technology typically delivers about 25% less range than advertised.
