Volvo has unveiled minor updates for the ageing XC60. To be fair, there’s not much that needs changing when it comes to the XC60’s design—it’s classy enough and has aged remarkably well. That said, when the next generation does arrive, hopefully, it follows an evolutionary path. The current second generation has been around since 2017, so the third generation is likely just a year or two away.
Honestly, I’m just filling column space because there’s not much to report. The exterior updates include a new front grille and bumper design to keep things fresh. At the back, the rear light clusters now feature dark glass, and the most notable interior update is the larger 11.5-inch screen powered by the superfast Snapdragon GPU processor.

There are also a few minor upgrades to the interior trim, but that’s about it. If I were in the market for a new SUV, the XC60 would be my second choice—behind the XC90. I just like the Volvo brand and its overall approach right now. I’m not interested in BMW or Mercedes; Volvo manages to be classy without needing to shout about it.
… admittedly I am still column-filling.
