Do you smell that? Do smell that? V6 Toyota Tacoma son, Nothing elese in the world smells like that. I love the smell of a V6 Tacoma in the Morning, that smell, that gasoline smell, it smells like… victory.
Scotty Kilmer never actually made any such statement; the quote is a parody of a line from Apocalypse Now, the Vietnam-era war film directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
Anyway, Scotty Kilmer, a die-hard Toyota enthusiast, says the V6-powered Toyota Tacoma is the pickup to have because its engine and transmission are nearly bulletproof in terms of reliability.
Kilmer believes that replacing the V6 with a turbocharged four-cylinder in the newer generation Tacoma was a mistake. The naturally aspirated V6 is simpler, and fewer complications mean a far more reliable engine.
Kilmer even uses a friend’s pre-owned Tacoma as an example, noting that the owner specifically bought a used Tacoma over a new one for one reason: the V6.
Kilmer has never focused on high-quality video production, but his earthy, often high-pitched delivery resonates with his audience.
