The BMW 3 Series has defined the BMW brand for 50 years, and the new all-electric BMW i3 represents an evolutionary leap as part of BMW’s Neue Klasse era.
The BMW i3 offers an electric range of up to 420 miles and ultra-fast charging, gaining up to 248 miles in just 10 minutes using 800V technology.

Its launch model, the i3 50 xDrive, features dual electric motors producing 469 hp and 645 Nm of torque, delivering strong performance alongside efficiency.

A new “digital nervous system” powers the car, including four high-performance computers (the “superbrains”) that manage driving, infotainment, automation, and comfort functions with significantly increased processing power.

Design-wise, the i3 maintains classic 3 Series proportions with a modern twist: a sleek 2.5-box silhouette, shark-nose front, reimagined kidney grille, and aerodynamic styling.

Inside, it features a spacious, driver-focused cabin with advanced displays (BMW Panoramic iDrive) and sustainable materials made from recycled components.

The vehicle also includes advanced driver assistance systems for improved safety and comfort. Sustainability is a key focus throughout its lifecycle, with a carbon footprint comparable to combustion-engine vehicles after 1–2 years of use.
Production will begin at BMW’s Munich plant in August 2026, with UK deliveries expected in autumn 2026.
