Jaecoo UK has expanded its model range with the introduction of the Jaecoo 8 SHS-P, a new flagship SUV that brings three-row plug-in hybrid performance to the brand’s growing UK lineup.

The model introduces a new SHS-P designation for plug-in hybrid variants of the Super Hybrid System (SHS)developed by Chery International, marking an evolution of the electrified powertrain technology used across the group’s vehicles.

Two Distinct Configurations

The Jaecoo 8 SHS-P will be offered in two variants, each designed to deliver a different experience within the same flagship SUV platform.

The Luxury model features a seven-seat layout and comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays, a SONY 14-speaker premium sound system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.

For buyers seeking a more premium experience, the Executive variant offers a six-seat configuration designed for enhanced comfort.

It adds Nappa leather upholstery and four heated, ventilated massage captain’s chairs, along with extendable driver’s thigh support.

Powerful Plug-In Hybrid System

Both versions of the Jaecoo 8 SHS-P are powered by Chery International’s Super Hybrid System, featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a three-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and an all-wheel-drive system.

The combined setup delivers 428 PS and 580 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0–62 mph in 5.8 seconds, strong performance for a three-row family vehicle.

Soft-Road Capability

For the first time on a Jaecoo model, the Jaecoo 8 includes lockable differentials, paired with an adaptive all-terrain response system, enhancing the vehicle’s capability across a range of driving conditions.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing for the Jaecoo 8 SHS-P starts at £45,500 OTR for the Luxury variant and £47,500 OTR for the Executive model.

Both versions come with Jaecoo’s seven-year / 100,000-mile vehicle warranty, along with an eight-year / 100,000-mile battery warranty.

Order books for the Jaecoo 8 SHS-P are open now, with first UK deliveries expected from May 2026.
