Floats Like Butterfly, Stings Like A Bee: The Donkervoort P24 RS
Auto News

Donkervoort is taking its biggest step yet onto the global stage with the launch of the P24 RS in right-hand drive, marking the first time in the Dutch marque’s 49-year history that one of its cars has been engineered for RHD markets. The move opens the lightweight supercar to buyers in countries including the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, with the company already confirming customer orders from those regions.

The P24 RS remains true to Donkervoort’s long-standing philosophy of prioritising driver engagement above all else. At the heart of the car is the brand’s all-new 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6, producing 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque.

Thanks to Donkervoort’s innovative Power To Choose (PTC) system, drivers can instantly switch between 400 hp, 500 hp and 600 hp, tailoring performance to road conditions or driving preference.

Despite its immense performance, the P24 RS weighs just 780 kg, making it the only production car with 600 hp to tip the scales at under one tonne.

That remarkable power-to-weight ratio enables a 0-200 km/h sprint in just 7.4 seconds, a top speed exceeding 300 km/h, and more than 2.3g of lateral cornering force.

Built around a lightweight hybrid chassis combining welded steel tubes with Donkervoort’s Ex-Core carbon-fibre technology, the P24 RS also offers unexpected practicality, including 298 litres of luggage capacity and a removable twin-targa roof.

Production is limited to 150 units, with more than 100 already allocated to customers across Europe, North America, Asia and the newly opened RHD markets.

The expansion represents a major milestone for the boutique manufacturer as it continues to grow beyond its traditional European customer base while staying true to its uncompromising lightweight philosophy.
