Lando Norris claimed his second consecutive victory of the season with a commanding performance at the Dutch Grand Prix, beating championship leader Kimi Antonelli by 11.536 seconds.

The race was thrown into chaos almost immediately when home favourite Max Verstappen lost control of his Red Bull and crashed heavily into the barriers on the opening lap. Verstappen confirmed he was okay, but the incident brought out the red flag and halted proceedings.

After the restart, Antonelli made a brilliant getaway to pass Norris and take the lead. The Mercedes driver then built a gap, but Norris steadily closed in before reclaiming first place during the final third of the race.

A late Virtual Safety Car, triggered when Esteban Ocon’s Haas stopped on track, created a tense finish. Antonelli and several other drivers pitted for fresh tyres, while Norris and George Russell remained out. The strategy left Antonelli chasing from second, but Norris had enough pace to stay clear and secure victory.

Russell completed the podium in third after successfully defending from the Ferraris. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, with Charles Leclerc fifth and Oscar Piastri sixth.

Liam Lawson was seventh for Red Bull despite a 10-second penalty, while Nico Hulkenberg, Fernando Alonso and Pierre Gasly completed the top 10.

Verstappen was among several retirements, alongside Alex Albon, Valtteri Bottas, Lance Stroll, Ocon and Ollie Bearman. The victory further strengthens Norris’s position in the championship battle as the season enters its decisive phase.
