Blimey, someone’s only gone and turned a Porsche 911 into an absolute bloody animal. Built by Aussie car wizard Gary Reid, the ShowTime Repco 933 takes a perfectly respectable Porsche 996 and gives it the sort of makeover that’d make Mad Max do a double take.
Gone is the traditional flat-six hanging out the back. In its place? A monstrous 7.0-litre GM LSX V8, strapped with two massive Turbosmart turbochargers.
The result is more than 1,200 horsepower. Fair dinkum, that’s enough grunt to send your snag sandwich straight through the windscreen.

Fitting the beast wasn’t exactly a walkabout, either. The crew had to knock up a new firewall, floor and transmission tunnel, while the engine still sticks out through the bonnet.
Exhaust pipes shoot flames skywards, because apparently subtlety’s for people driving Camrys to Woolies.
A beefy eight-speed Bentley gearbox handles the ridiculous power, while a sequential shifter and hydraulic handbrake mean this thing’s built to go sideways, not just belt down the straight.

Inside, there are carbon-fibre Recaro seats, a digital dash and enough fancy buttons to keep a fighter pilot busy. Outside, it’s all flared guards, a carbon-fibre bonnet and a massive rear wing that screams race track.
With rear-wheel drive and enough horsepower to scare the living daylights out of your mates, this thing is absolutely bonkers.
Is it a proper Porsche? Maybe not. Is it a bloody ripper? You bet your arse it is, mate.
