Britain, meet your next automotive wildcard. iCAUR lands in the UK in early 2027 with the V27, a square-jawed, five-seat SUV that looks ready to tackle a mountain rather than mount the kerb outside a Waitrose.

Born from Chery International’s ‘Born to Play’ philosophy, iCAUR promises individuality in a market drowning in lookalike crossovers.

The V27 brings chunky wheel arches, a purposeful stance and an interior mixing physical buttons with digital tech and acres of natural light.

It’s already bagged a premium-category interior design award at the 2026 Torino Automotive Design Awards. Not bad for a car we haven’t even driven.

Under the skin sits an advanced electrified hybrid powertrain, with off-road ability also on the menu. Beyond that, the details are frustratingly thin. UK specifications, pricing and availability remain firmly under wraps.

The launch coincides with Chery’s 30th anniversary. But can the V27 deliver more than a convincing pose? We’ll have to wait and see. One thing’s certain: this isn’t your usual SUV-shaped appliance.
