This is the Volvo XC70, a plug-in hybrid with a claimed pure electric range of 124 miles. However, it’s only part electric, as it also uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder combustion engine. For now, the XC70 isn’t available in Europe and is currently exclusive to the Chinese market.
Volvo, which is owned by Chinese automotive giant Geely, has based the XC70 on the premium platform used by Geely’s Lynk & Co brand.
Power comes from a 39.6kWh NMC battery supplied by CATL, with total system output rated at 462bhp. Thankfully, YouTuber Telescope has already reviewed it… so we don’t have to.
