The Forgotten One: Aston Martin DBX GT
Auto News

Aston Martin has decided that its DBX S was perhaps a little too shouty. Enter the DBX GT: the same 727PS, 900Nm twin-turbo V8-powered super-SUV, but now wearing its performance with considerably more discretion.

The idea is simple. Keep the absurd numbers — 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds and a 193mph top speed — then make the whole thing rather more civilised.

The result gets a new double-vane grille, beautifully machined side strakes and quad exhausts, while the standard 22-inch wheels wear all-season tyres chosen specifically to reduce noise and improve ride comfort.

Inside, Aston has gone properly posh. Redesigned seats gain extra cushioning, 10mm of memory foam and elaborate GT-specific embroidery.

Semi-aniline leather, deep-pile carpets and a new individual rear-seat layout turn the back of the DBX into somewhere you might actually want to spend several hours.

There’s serious engineering beneath the upholstery, too. Revised dampers, new internal valves and altered spring rates aim to smooth out battered roads without turning the DBX into a 2.5-tonne blancmange.

The transmission has been recalibrated, while additional structural damping tackles unwanted movement and noise.

Aston even claims a 13 per cent improvement in its Articulation Index — essentially, you should find it easier to hear your passenger rather than simply nodding enthusiastically while the V8 does something antisocial.

The DBX GT arrives in Q4 2026. Think of it as a DBX S after discovering cashmere.
