Mazda takes a punch at the compact SUV market with its all new CX-3 and what better place to reveal it than at the 2014 LA Auto Show.
The CX-3 will become the fifth model in Mazda’s product line up and of course carries over the new Soul of Motion vis-a-vie Kodo design language. We believe everything these wordsmith marketing departments conjurer up.
European markets will get a choice of three engines and all will feature the company’s efficient SKYACTIV technology. The petrol SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre will be available in two power versions and the new SKYACTIV-D 1.5-litre diesel will also join the range.
Six speed manual and automatics will be available and the CX-3 will be offered in either 2wd or all-wheel guise.
The CX-3 will also feature a number of safety assists and an infotainment package including the MZD Connect-in-car connectivity system. In other words Bluetooth and USB friendly ports.
The Mazda CX-3 will go on sale in the UK, we don’t know when or for how much. That’s why we’re number 1 for information here at DCB Towers. What we can say is, if you are thinking about buying a Mini Countryman don’t this CX-3 looks much better.
Did we say we’re number 1?
