With the LA Auto show in full swing we have decided to give you a little bit of Americana in the form the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. The Shelby GT350  bears the name of the late Carol Shelby a man with a woman’s name, car tuning specialist, automotive designer, racing driver and entrepreneur. Shelby was best known for taking British Sports car maker, Cobra, and fitting a Ford V8 into the engine bay, he was also known as the legendary creator of the Shelby Mustang of the 1960’s. The all new Shelby GT350 celebrates the legacy of this period in typical V8 muscle car fashion that only the Americans know how to do. http://youtu.be/yC6tKvEy6t0 And Ford are flexing their marketing biceps by claiming the Shelby GT350 will have the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 on the market. The 5.2-litre powerplant could have as much as 500bhp and 550Nm of torque from what Ford say is a high revving engine which will be paired to a six speed manual gearbox. The Shelby GT350 will also feature Ford’s MagneRide, a magnetically controlled, viscosity inducing damping system twined with a Ford tuned Torsen limited slip differential. All that power and speed needs powerful brakes and Brembo six piston caliper’s at the front with a four piston setup for the rear will be covered over with behemoth 19-inch alloy wheels.
