Fisker Strikes Again With Thunderbolt Creation
Auto News
Former Aston Martin designer, Henrik Fisker, is certainly no stranger to delivering eye catching designs, think the DB9 and Vantage and include the Karma Fisker. When Fisker Automotive filed for bankruptcy in 2013 its founder set up his own design consultancy and revealed at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Florida yet another stunning creation from his mind, pen, paper and final protoype. Galpin-Thunderbolt-2015-Light-Cluster Fisker’s client is US based Galpin Motors and the company’s owner ordered a one off coach built car ‘made to measure’ if you will. Its called the Galpin Thunderbolt and its based on the 6.0-litre, 568bhp V12 powered Aston Martin Vanquish chassis. And being a Fisker design its nothing short of stunning. Naturally the car is offered up as the ultimate luxury GT Supercar but it keeps up with the times by offering things like a curved touchscreen, a worlds first for any car. Galpin-Thunderbolt-2015-Rear-View Galpin says the Thunderbolt is a concept prototype and could be made into a limited series production run, but did not say how many units could be made. We think the Thunderbolt will remain a one off. No details on price but these bespoke and handmade cars can easily crack into the £500k region.  Galpin-Thunderbolt-2015-Front
