Theophilus Chin was inspired to create this new vision of Mercedes grand new design by an excerpt from automobilemag.com who say that Mercedes plan to drop the CLS station wagon to make way for this AMG GT4 instead.
The CLS Estate hasn’t sold as well as Mercedes anticipated and it will cease production when the new CLS saloon debuts in 2018. That same time the AMG GT4 will enter the market and will actually be based on a modified CLS-Class platform.
Automobilemag.com goes onto say that the AMG GT4 will offer a choice of straight six engines rated at between 300 and 400bhp. In addition a 6-cylinder turbocharged hybrid could also be on the cards.
And if you hunger for the V8 powerplant then fear not it will be retained.
