Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann is the most stylish CEO of them all and we say that for a fact because no one or no other car can match Winkelmann’s flair for suit selection. And when you have the public début of the rear-wheel-drive Huracan LP 580-2 to oversee and participate in you have got to dress for the occasion.

Trouble is Winkelmann always does just that and we reckon, yet again, his suit actually upstages and out-styles the launch of the Huracan LP 580-2. God-dang we want to know who his tailors are.

The LP 580-2 dispenses with the standard fit AWD system and in the process drops 33kg of weight. A 5.2-litre, 580bhp V10 powers the rear wheels, a rare sight after the company decided to adopt AWD systems for a majority of its cars.

There are some who like the rear-wheel-drive thrill and so Lamborghini naturally wants to cater for these individuals.

The suspension receives a slight modification and Lamborghini have updated the traction control software, presumably to make potential owners think they can actually contain all that rear-wheel focused power fix.

Oh and there is no manual gearbox, its a seven-speed dual clutch setup only which is fine by us because these transmissions are deadly fast to engage.
