Is This The New Apple Car Interior?
Auto News
No it isn’t, not even official, these concept renderings are the creation of Argentinian Industrial Designer Matias Papalini. Papalini has created a series of renders that showcases what he thinks the Apple Car interior will look like. The series of designs follow the simple design rules that characterise Apple products. The interior concepts look uncluttered and the central dash board is dominated by a huge touch screen surface. Apple-Car-Interior-Dash-Steering-Wheel One of the renders shows a driving environment without a steering wheel, a doffing of the cap to a possible adoption of autonomous driving technology. Research has shown American car owners covet one item above all else, no not an AK47 for hunting or a copy of the Second Amendment, but a cup holder. In addition there seems to very little storage place so presumably future Apple car owners travel light and eat very little. Apple-Car-Interior-Dash The lack of physical buttons shows a level of thinking that the adoption of a fully operated touchscreen environment is slowly replacing the analogue age. With advances in flat screen technology, such as LG’s flexible 1mm thick OLED screen, it will be possible to create high definition touchscreens that wrap around the dashboard. According to various sources the Apple Car is codenamed “Titan” and is undergoing an intense phase of research and development. In 2014 Apple hired a Ford Engineer to oversee the project. The founder of Apple, the late Steve Jobs, had plans to build an electric car to compete with Tesla, reports say production could start in 2020. As with any Apple product you can be sure it will be exquisitely engineered , underpowered and overpriced.  Apple-Car-Interior
