The Q7 e‑tron 3.0 TDI quattro has a total system power 373 hp and 700 Nm (516.3 lb‑ft) of system torque.
It accelerates from a standing start to 62mph in 6.2 seconds and returns up to 156.9mpg based on NEDC test results.
Having tested plug-in hybrids we reckon real world economy is closer to 44-55mpg.
The Q7’s lithium-ion battery can be charged from the socket and stores 17.3 kWh. Audi quotes an electric range of up to 34 miles. We say expect around 22 miles of range.
What you can expect is plenty of kit on offer. For your £65k expect LED headlights, MMI navigation plus with MMI all‑in‑touch, the fully digital Audi virtual cockpit to name but a few.
You’ll also get the Audi smartphone interface embedding Apple Car Play or Google Android Auto functionality in addition to Audi connect which is internet access to the car.
Predictive Efficiency Assistant is a standard feature that Audi say has the potential to reduce fuel consumption on inter-urban roads by as much as ten per cent.
The system works by using the route data from the navigation system to alert the driver to situations in which it would make sense to reduce speed.
In the UK, charging of the new Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI quattro will take around 4 hours and 45 minutes when connected to a domestic wall box or public charging point.
The optional 23A 7.2 kW cable will be available for faster charging where the infrastructure permits this.
