James Bond Aston Martin DB10 Sold At Auction For £2m

One of the Aston Martin DB10s made for the James Bond movie Spectre has been sold at auction for £2,434,500.  The new owner has a problem, the car is not road legal. Aston Martin exclusively designed and hand built 10 DB10s specifically for the film. Eight were modified for filming purposes. Two of those produced were kept back as show cars for display and publicity only and the DB10 auctioned is one of them. Based on the Vantage chassis, the DB10 houses a 4.7-litre V8 engine. The DB10 gives a glimpse of the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins. The auctioned off DB10 was signed by Daniel Craig, the movie is rumored to have written off £25m worth of cars during filming. Auction house Christie’s is running the “Spectre – The Auction” in London and online which also includes other items and props from the Spectre movie. If you want to own a piece of movie history you’re going to require deep pockets, a Tom Ford bow tie signed by Daniel Craig has a current bid of £3,200 GBP.
