The roll-call of classic cars is mouthwatering. Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Sanction III, an ex-Sir Stirling Moss DB4 GT Lightweight, a Ferrari 250 GT California Spider, a Porsche 356 Speedster plus a Series 1 Jaguar E-type Roadster and many more are featured in this swanky looking short film.
The film features an array of classics from an era lost to the annuals of time but these cars will never age. The film is unusual because the cars seem to driving un-aided. Self driving classics.
Hexagon Chairman Paul Michaels said “We commissioned ‘Icons of the Road’ because we wanted to celebrate classic cars in a way that no-one has done before. The film is all about the cars – not who is driving them. It’s an amusing story about how cars relate to each other, which we hope everyone can enjoy”.
So what is it for? It’s a publicity showcase for a London based car dealer who is properly minted. That is to say the car dealer in question can afford to luxuriate £20 million pounds worth of classic cars that feature in this short and very swanky looking video.
But that’s not what the film is really about, Hexagon Classics specialise in selling (you guessed it) classic cars.
The properly minted dealer is able to afford the construction of a new modern showroom facility complete with a restaurant, a Michelin-starred chef, art gallery and a coffee bar.
