After many months of speculation about who would replace Jeremy Clarkson as one of the hosts of Top Gear the BBC has finally revealed whom that individual will be. It’s Matt LeBlanc. LeBlanc gained worldwide fame for starring as dim witted Joey Tribbiani in the long running hit US sitcom Friends. Clarkson could never disguise his tongue-in-cheek dislike for Americans so it’s ironic that American replaces him.

We know who the Stig is but who is Chris Evans? Believe me if we went into detail you may well want to punch Evans in the face. Metaphorically speaking.

LeBlanc has already appeared on Top Gear as guest on the reasonably priced car segment of the show, setting the fastest lap for a celebrity in the process.

He also made a few other cameo appearances too. So who is Chris Evans? He may not be well known to the current generation of viewers but he was a 1990’s pain in the arse.

Evans has gone on a bit of a journey, made a fortune, and has enough influence to persuade Joey to become his Top Gear pal-in-chief. So who is Chris Evans?

In a press statement LeBlanc said “As a car nut and massive fan of Top Gear, I’m honored and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter. What a thrill!“.

Chris Evans commented: “Matt’s a lifelong fellow petrolhead and I’m thrilled he’s joining Top Gear. Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on screen later this year.”

A lot of speculation has been rife as to just who would line up alongside side Chris Evans. And now we know who number two presenter is. Who will be presenter number three? Oh we already know its Chris Mr Sideways petrol-head-bore Harris.
