X-Tomi Humiliates The Porsche 718 Boxster
Features
Our resident Photoshop In Chief, X-Tomi, who actually isn’t resident anywhere in the UK doesn’t like the new Porsche 718 Boxster. The Boxster is the Porsches’ bread winner, it puts food on the table and allows rampant corporate nepotism, German style. Corporate nepotism is the same where ever you are in the world and one factor is always the key identifier. Greed. So to put Porsche in it’s rightful place X-Tomi has decided to bring the new Boxster 718 down to earth, to humiliate it the only way he knows how. The humiliation begins with steel wheels, then to add insult to pride the paint work is unpolished and the final the act of vengeance is black rubber protective trim. The new Boxster sees the introduction of a numerical naming convention. The 718 refers to the Le Mans Class wining 718 mid-engine racer built from 1957 through 1962. The normally aspirated engines of the previous gen are consigned to the history books and in are a the entry level 2.0-litre 300bhp turbo and a 2.5-litre 350bhp turbo engines. Performance for both cars are quick, between 4.0-4.5 seconds respectively with a top speed of 168-177mph respectively. The Boxster will continue to be available in two power derivatives with the Boxster S essentially signifying 50bhp more. Porsche have also retuned the chassis to improve the cornering stability and increased the electric steering sensitivity because they can. In the UK a new entry level Porsche Boxster, without the trimmings and fat, will set you back £41k. The Boxster S will cost £50k. First deliveries are expected… we don’t know when. Around mid April. Not that that all this matters to X-Tomi.  X-Tomi-Porsche-Boxster
