It’s inevitable that at some stage in the future Audi will develop a convertible version of the Q2. Or it could be just as inevitable that Audi couldn’t care less about a Q2 drop top. But it might well be a good idea after all the compact SUV market doesn’t offer such a vehicle. Resident Photoshop expert, Theophilus Chin, thinks a convertible Audi Q2 is a very good idea and this his conceptual rendering. We’re not big fans of convertibles, the wind in your hair and C02 emissions in your face isn’t our idea of fun. Convertibles are for posers not drivers. However we do kind of like this Q2 concept and think it could give the Evoque convertible a run for it’s money. The Evoque convertible is being billed as the first luxury drop top SUV of it’s type and will launch in spring this year at an expected entry price of £47k GBP. If the Evoque does well then perhaps that could spur on Audi to do something similar with it’s line of SUVs and the Q2 could be they choose. Theophilus’ design shows that an open top Q2 looks stylish enough to become a reality. But of course this is all just pure speculation.
