Reaching speeds close to 60mph Mischo Erban sets the world record for the fastest speed recorded on a skateboard. Erban didn’t use foot power instead he opted to use a modified electric skateboard.
The NEXTBoard was developed by a Slovenian start up technology company and features four-wheel-drive electric motors (one in each wheel) and two Tattu 6S batteries in series.
The inventors call it a “sports vehicle” and it has an approximate range of 9 miles, it takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge.
The record was attempted on a completely flat surface and the speed was measured over a distance of 100 m.
Like all daredevils Erban had the obligatory crash at the end of the attempt.
