Nothing Can Stop The Frankenstein Fiat Mazda 124 From Looking Fugly
Auto News
We don’t like the look of the Mazda Fiat 124 and there is a specific reason… We just don’t like it. Fiat wanted to ride on the back of the MX-5 with a joint development that would make Mary Shelly turn in her grave. With the 2016 Fiat 124 Spider we were expecting a evocation of the original. But instead of paying tribute to the legend that was, which was in production between 1966-1982, it seems Fiat have made a huge mistake in the styling department.  Fiat-124-Spider-Profile Not even our resident Photoshop artist could do anything to save the all new Fiat Mazda Spider mess. Theophilus Chin attempted to do just that, to cover up the fallout created by Fiat with this his latest concept rendering, a coupe version of the Fiat Mazda 124 Spider. Unfortunately it was a disaster, a total disaster for not even Chin’s Photoshop expertise nor his artistic eye could do anything to seamlessly stitch the all new Fiat Mazda Spider mess into looking any better. Don’t blame Chin, don’t blame Mazda blame Fiat and blame the accountants. Fiat-124-Spider-Rear The Fiat Mazda 124 Spider is one of those joint developments that will go down in history as favouring Mazda more than it favoured Fiat. Not since the Munich Agreement has there been a betrayal of hope over appeasement. Fiat has annexed all hope and the Fiat Mazda 124 Spider appeases no one. Imagine if Porsche followed the same rationale with the 911. Porsche would probably line up their work force and shoot them. Now our legal department would like us to stress Porsche does not engage in shooting randomly at it’s work force we were talking metaphors people. We hope the Fiat Mazda 124 Spider is a complete disaster, we hope it fails completely because maybe this might shock Fiat into actually respecting its very own automotive heritage and leave the Frankenstein creations to the fiction writers.  Fiat-124-Spider-
