The Ateca can call upon VW sourced engines such as the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine rated at 113bhp which will form the entry level model lineup.
Indeed the Ateca will have the availability of a number of familiar engines for UK punters to choose from such as the 1.4-litre TSI petrol too the 1.6-litre TDi. The ever popular 2.0-litre TDi will be available as 148bhp and 187bhp derivatives.
Transmissions will also be sourced from SEAT’s VW parent company from the six-speed manual to the 7-speed dual clutch DSG the later will only be offered to the more powerful model ranges.
The Ateca will also be available as either two wheel drive or as a AWD models, only diesel models will get the full 4-wheel-drive treatment.
The Ateca’s UK order books are open now with first deliveries scheduled to arrive by the end of the year.
