The Renault Megane RS is 265bhp of hot hatch machinery which is powered by a 2.0-litre trubocharged petrol engine. The stats say it all its fast… for a hot hatch… For a French made hot hatch. Such a car belongs on a race track and in the right hands it can be deadly.
In the wrong hands it can crash into steel barriers and end up on it’s roof as evidenced by this Megane owner who… ended up on his roof.
The crash happened at the notorious Nurburgring, an insurers windfall because of the increased cost to get cover for track days.
Unfortunately this Megane was in the wrong hands, we can only assume the driver was going too fast and braked too late as he entered what ever corner he was trying to apex.
The result is clear for all to see, the Megane skids into the armco barrier, flips sideways and over onto it’s roof.
We don’t know if the condition of the driver or if he sustained any injuries but we can guess his pride was seriously damaged.
